No freebies in this post. Ladies, I’m so sorry if I haven’t posted these last few days. I am still up to my neck cramming… trying to meet my deadlines: 3 fullpage, fullcolor ads in a national broadsheet (set to appear consecutively starting this Thursday — make that FOUR — I got a call just now adding one more to the series), two multi-paged brochures for a “gelatin” brand and a tea brand which I love so much, three flyers for insert in the mailing list of one of the country’s biggest supermarket chains, paraphernalias for two discount clubs set to launch soon and a magazine cover shoot! Whew! I’m booked til the end of the year! Oh my!
I know you are all very happy for me… Im so sorry. Please accept my apologies and know that I intend to post freebies as soon as I get a bit of “space” in my already “crazy” schedule. Helllppp! Haha!
I do read your comments though and I read and answer emails as much as I can. Please bear with me as I finish this “Hell Week” I’m in… I am working hard to finish urgent “materials” to have enough time to design freebies for you next week!
If you are wondering why you got an alert, only to come here and see nothing new: I deleted the post. I have posted an email sent to me by my friend alledgedly written by Ben Stein. Its a wonderfully worded email and contains some thought provoking questions but a bit to strongly worded for some.
I’ve learned through Leanne through her comment that the email was NOT written in full by Ben Stein. The strongly worded paragraphs that ended the email were merely added and attributed to Ben Stein. Lesson learned: I will never hit the “forward” button again or publish anything that I haven’t doubled checked myself.

First, I pray for peace and joy as you finish up your hectic work related business. But secondly, I wanted to thank you for once again giving us insight into what really matters and what we all must focus on. You are truly blessed with the gift of encouragment and I pray that never leaves you. Sweet Mabelle, I’ve been hanging around your journal a long time, and know your heart, and I hope you will remember mine and know that while I understand your intent sharing this post, I feel I must – for your sake as well as Ben Stien’s and all of ours – point out an error…
Only part of the words attributed to Ben Stein “rang true” to me as his, given what I know about Ben Stein. I thought it got a bit weird at the end, and didn’t sound like him, so I went to Snopes.com and UrbanLegend.com and they both confirmed (with transcript even) that the beginning was more or less verbatim what Ben Stein did say on CBS (rather than say “worship celebrities” he specifically mentioned Nick and Jessica), but that the entire second part is not only NOT HIS WORDS, but they are words that are UNTRUE (eg about Benjamin Spock’s son committing suicide).
THIS ENTIRE PORTION IS NOT LEGITIMATE, ARE NOT THE WORDS OF BEN STEIN (and I point it out because I’m quite sure he is horrified that someone took the liberty of writing them and then claiming them to be his):
“In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different… [right through to the end].”
Of course you may go to Snopes and/or Urban Legend to confirm yourself.
If you would like to keep his actual words in your blog (which I agree were very helpful for everyone to hear), please do remove the balance of the post which is NOT HIS, and is a rant of someone much less educated, articulate, enlightened. Thank you.

Don’t fret about not being here…we all know you are so busy with your JOB and we love you anyway. Freebies or not. I certainly don’t come just for freebies (they are bonus) but I come to read and reflect. Truly. I re-read posts all the time on your blog. I don’t know, they make me feel good and reflect more.

After the ads appear in the paper can you post them here so that we can see what you’ve been up to? Not the originals but maybe a scanned copy from the newspaper?

You sweetie! I’m glad you’re happily employed and so successful. You know that song “God has smiled on me!”? Soundls like you’re receiving the smile full force. Our happiness and joy for you is boundless as well.

Don’t worry about e-mails and freebies right now, just concentrate on doing what you need to do for your work…We will be here patiently waiting when you can return…Meanwhile, just take care of yourself while your rushing to complete work…

Once again, there is no way I could say anything better than what has already been written. They always say it SO well. I too am happy for you, it’s been quite a journey for you to arrive at this place. I admire you.
Concerning forwards, I am constantly checking things out on snopes.com, and BEG others to do it too. So many just hit ‘forward’ never checking. One friend I know actually sends me things first, because he knows I’ll check it out and tell him if it’s incorrect! That boy is lazy! LOL
That’s one of the reasons your blog is so valuable to me. Like a breath of fresh air to the web. A positive perspective, or a story of working hard to arrive at that positive place, in spite of many obstacles. God Bless you in your work, that you may have the ideas flow to you that you’ve been preparing your skills for, for so long.
As others have mentioned, this is about SO much more than the freebie. I gain so much more than that, and I thank you.
