Walking On Air!

I’m sorry for the much delayed blog post. Please accept my deepest apologies. I’ve received soooo much email asking me where I was or how I’ve been and what’s keeping me away from posting! Thank you so much for the loving words of concern!

I made a QP freebie for everyone to download. It’s titled “believe” because I after what I’ve been through lately, I never lost my faith believing I am being “prepared” for something “new” (when a “door” was just about to close in my life as I posted previously). The door is not about to close anytime soon (to my friends, read more about this below) and a new one opened up for me too! I have two doors now opened fully for me. I am humbled at the blessings I’ve been receiving. I feel so much had been given undeservingly to me… It is truly much better than what I can ever think or pray for. Blind faith? Strike out blind, just faith. I knew I was being prepared for something wonderful… but this is waaayyy too big for me to even dream of. I hope this QP shows and shares with you my joy. (Link expired.)

Fresh from MG2

Have you seen the new pages uploaded in MG2? Gorgeous! I love all four! If you are one of the four people who have uploaded a page, would you be so kind as to post a comment and state that a particular page is yours? I cannot seem to reconcile the Photobucket names with the names you use to post a comment. It would cut much time from my end if you could just post here please as NO ONE sees your emails except me. Please?

Expect to receive the download link to the Full Bloom Page Footer as shown below! I promise you its more gorgeous than it looks! Put the footer in ANY sheet for a quick and easy page! I love the flowery vines so much!I’ll be sending out an email as soon as I complete all the four email addresses. Consider it a gift for the pages you have lovingly shared… Thank you very much!

Crossroads II is one fun set not just because the colors are bright and cheerful but because those who bought the set made me smile (two emails/comments brought me close to tears) with their comments about how they found everything when they unpacked. All the comments I received about Crossroads II beats hands-down all the other posts I have received for all my previous kits. You ladies are the best!

The full Crossroads II line looks like this:

Crossroads II Revealed

Finally! Here’s the entire Crossroads II set revealed. Sale of Crossroads II for US$4.00 ended last month. I wanted to see how many ladies would trust me to give them their money’s worth by buying without seeing anything except one or two sets… I’m glad there are many(!) and I’m warmed with the thought that you do like what you bought! Thank you. I promise to design some more freebies of equal quality (I dont design kits any differently when I give them away for free) to show you my appreciation for the support and reciprocate your kindness and generosity.

The sets of Crossroads II will be offered individually at regular prices very soon. Its NOT for sale now. Watch out for it or fill up the form of at the bottom of my inquiry page so I can send you an “alert email” as soon as it is up for sale. Watch out for the unique freebie sets I will be issuing under the line (unique means the freebies are not found in the sold sets but are part of it). Those who bought Crossroads II have MORE to look forward to. Those who didn’t will still have unique sets to play with! More Crossroads II freebies are coming your way very soon!

The last few paragraphs are for the ladies who continue to warm me with their words of encouragement and faith. It is for them that I offer the last few paragraphs of this LONG post. You can forgo reading the following long post if you’re after the freebies in this site.

I suggest you go head over to Indy’s blog. My friend made this awesome QP she decided to share with everyone! See this! Isn’t it awesome?

Dear Friends

I originally intended to sell this for US$1 because I really took the time to design it in detail (you know that I find joy doing the teeny-weenie detailing stuff because I enjoy reading your comments telling me you feel like grabbing my work from your screens!), lovingly texturize it and make it “girl-pretty” to match the entire Crossroads II line. I decided to give it away for free. I feel so blessed right now that I want you to feel and share my joy too.

The “old” company that I thought would no longer require my services just called me twice. A few days after I posted my story dated August 21, I received a job request from one of the executives. Two days after, I received four job requests from another executive including the design of three colored full-paged ads in a national broadsheet! Me?!? National newspaper?!? That’s the work for BIG agencies! I nearly fell off my seat!

Three days after, I presented a design study (one of the four projects offered to me) which the concerned executive loved so much he stated it’s the first time he ever liked anything for the “first show!” My insides jumped with joy but I didn’t show it! Haha!

This is the reason why I’ve been busy. I am on top of the four new companies I signed up with and now I have six… SIX projects with my old company! That’s a total of FIVE companies including ONE GLOBAL BRAND! While I never doubted that God is preparing something “special” for me, I never expected it would be this huge! I always tell people I do not ask for anything when I pray — I simply ask for a blessing, whatever it may be. God loves to surprise people and He can come up with such awesome… AWESOME gifts waaaayyyy beyond what you and I can even wish or dream of….

He surprised me.

I feel so humbled and soooo blessed. In the middle of all of this I remembered what a good man once shared to me last January when he came to visit my parents… (Read the following story. This is good.)

Two men approached Jesus and bowed their heads and said “Master, allow us to follow you and become your servants.” Jesus simply said “Take up your crosses and follow me.” Instantly, there appeared crosses beside each of them. Each man slung his cross over his shoulder and began following Jesus wherever He went.

It was great for about a week or so but by the second week, the weight of their crosses began to take its toll on their strength. Every stone or pebble that hit the long side of the cross gave them painful jolts on their raw and bleeding shoulders as they dragged their load to follow Jesus.

One man decided to cut the long side of his cross by half. “Jesus never looks back anyway to check on us. He wouldn’t notice.” So the man cut his cross by half and his load eased.

By the third week, the man who cut his cross by half felt that his load had become too much for him again. He proceeded to cut more from his cross. It was almost a quarter of its original size now. He smiled to himself and said “Well Jesus can walk for miles now and I’d still be able to follow him!”

By the fourth week, Jesus and the two men who followed Him came upon a ravine. Jesus walked on air and crossed to the other side. He then turned around and beckoned the two men to follow Him. The man with the cross that has remained uncut shouted “Master, we can’t walk on air! How can we follow You there?”

Jesus replied “take down your cross and slide the other end slowly over to Me. We will use it as a plank. I’ll hold the other end still and you can cross by walking over it.”

Take a moment or two and reflect on that simple story – of carrying your cross and using it to fly. Just for a few moments reflect on that story and how it applies to your life.

The first time I heard it, I didn’t get it all that much… Truth to tell, the first time I heard it sounded just like any other “parable” I’ve heard and read. However, when I remembered it a few days ago… WHAM! I finally understood what my mom’s friend was telling me and I was so close to tears, humbled by the fact that my “cross” or the challenges that came my way were simply preparing me for this part of my life! Talk about “gifts!” What I have been given is HUGE!

I’m walking on air! I never thought I could!

Thank you for everything…

Do include me in your prayers that I may find everything I need to fulfill all my obligations in the next few months. I would be needing much strength and creativity for what lies ahead. (I’m slowly gaining weight too! Yehey!) I promise to find whatever available time I can spare to keep doing freebies for all.

God is soooooo awesome! Here’s hoping He too will surprise you soon! Just wait for it. And yes, believe. He has NOT forgotten YOU even if YOU think He has…

    Mabelle,
Thanks so much- I just downloaded the crossroads kit and can’t wait to open up the files! I just think it is beautiful and can’t wait to scrap with it!

Maybe I’m having a blond moment but where do I find the information on how to get into the site and post our pages?

Loved your walking on air posting- will have to print it and keep it near by as I believe my job (17 years at it) is soon coming to an end.

I’m so glad that things are working out for you- you deserve it!

    Hi Mabs,

Thank you so much for the gorgeous alphas. They really look real, popping out of my screen! Yay! I missed so many posts in your blog. I didn’t realized that the email setting in my mobile reverted to its default setting, hence, preventing any new incoming emails. Hay….but it’s okay, it’s up and working now. No more missed email alerts!

Again and again, you never fail to surprise us. All the love that you’ve poured out in creating all of these work of arts are greatly appreciated around the world. Tons of hugs and prayers for you mula sa isang Pinay dito sa Sydney na may utang pa sa ‘yo. LOL! I know, it’s been ages since I asked you if you will trust a total stranger on the other side of the world. And you said yes. I have it already, ready to be mailed to you but was caught up in a sudden change in my life. I went back to Uni 2 months ago and feeling ko I still need to adjust. Hahaha! I’ve finished my Mid term exam and planning to relax for a while, then here comes the new lectures and assignments for Finals! Whaaaaaaah! Hirap maging international student. Anyways, please don’t think that I’ve already forgot to send my “hugs & kisses”. I will….sooooooooooon!

God bless and I am so happy to hear all of those praise reports about your work. Yes indeed, He loves surprises and He is a generous & faithful God.

    Cheers,
    Mickey

You did it again my friend. I don’t know why, but every time you tell a story, it resonates always in me. It’s like you know exactly what I’m going through. Except you are always a thousand steps ahead. When you started the crossroads kit, it was a time when I too became aware of the crossroads in my life. I am so happy you have gone over and beyond and surpassed all expectations. I know God is so good. I truly believe this cross I bear right now is preparing me for something better. Your story just affirms that. I am truly so joyously happy for you my dear, you deserve every good thing that is happening in your life. Lots of hugs for you!!!! And your surprise, truly beautiful, it is not anymore a surprise because I know everything you create is made with lots of love. My continued prayers for you. Mwah!

Thank you for a super alpha, but hey shouldn’t Y have a flower on it too????
All other vowels has it, except that poor Y. It looks so lonely…..LOL

About the cross to carry. Well we all have our “cross” and sometimes it seems it would be easier to live with half the burden. But when you come to that point in your life when you have to struggle to carry on (the ravine) it really helps to have learned how to handle the “cross” with all its weight and length.
Thank you Mabelle for helping us see what is important in life.
And THANKS for taking time to spoil us although you should concentrate on all your work projects. GOOD LUCK with them anyway.

    Hugs and blessings
