Silver Alpha Charms

The women in my family love charms - the ones that dangle in gold or silver bracelets or necklaces. Each charm stands for something: a memory of a place visited, a turning point or an experience or an event never to be forgotten. My aunt has several of them: The Eiffel Tower, a starfish, a dog… My Grandma has flowers, vines, alphas for the various names of her grandchildren. My Mom has some too for the places she has traveled to all over the world. I also have some for myself. I have letters, something about the sea, flowers, a baby bottle(!) and I have those that depict my scrapbooking passion: tiny scissors, paper, a glue stick… LOL. My bestfriend Sue gave me those last Christmas.

Island Girl Deco Alpha Charms
Link expired – sorry
Here are some alpha charms – in silver and ready to be strewn into ribbons or fibers to embellish your layouts. I call ‘em Deco-Alpha Charms. I hope to be able to make some more “figures” to go with this alpha set. Can you imagine stringing them together?!?— an alpha, a small figure, a jeweled pendant or a bling in a pretty ribbon and knot to match your wonderful layout? I can just imagine!

I’m still in an island, trapped for work. I don’t think I will be back anytime soon in the city (I was expecting to be back in the city after three days but I believe I’ll be here for 8 more days!?! ) Got tagged TWICE by two great people. The first one was from Donna a trad scrapper whom I seen bloom and soar to great scrapping heights. Check out her trad layouts if you don’t believe me. The second one was from Sue Pifer which was a pleasant surprise. This lady has some great freebies in her blog for you! Go download! My apologies to both Donna and Sue… I’m terribly new to blogging (and I honestly don’t have an idea whom to tag.) I’ve tagged Melanie a few days ago and I know how busy she is (check out her latest “12 days” line!)… and Miyon who is such a wonderful digital kit creator, no longer blogs in her site. She just offers freebies now… and the best ones I’ve ever seen. I hope Miyon and Melanie forgives me for this but I’m tagging both of them AGAIN. (I am a fan of them both!)

I hope I can find the time to develop a great set of figures to go with this alpha charms set. I’m swapped with work!!! But do post a few lines if you like my digital freebies OR if you have any suggestions on what would be great “figures” to start with… I’m thinking of starting off with figures that has to do with the sea like shells, starfishes, fishes/dolphins… or butterflies! Care to think of some for me? Post your suggestions! BTW, the last room in Granny’s Place is turning out to be lovely. The background “paper” of the silver charms will give you AN IDEA of what a joy it is for me to do… (and yes, I’m officially ending the guesswork for the next room ok? No more guesses!)

PS: Sorry for the non-performing link in the last post. I had no idea that the file hosting site had a “traffic allotment” and even if they did tell me… I never knew there would be so many downloads 9 hours after I posted! Wow! The link is now working plus I got another one just in case. One link is set to expire in a day or two. Take your pick on where to download and download fast if you haven’t yet. I’m posting this outside of the city in an island eight hours away and wishing I’ll finish my “assignments” here as fast as I can to get back home… How I wish I can just take a break here and NOT WORK… bummer… The sea is calling out to me and the water looks heavenly… – Island Girl Wannabe

Thanks for the lovely alpha charms, how about a tulip or something similar to represent spring, a sun for summer, a leaf for autumn and a snowflake for winter, also flip-flops, bucket and spade, sandcastle for holidays, shoes, handbags, lipstick etc., for girly things, computer, camera, tools for men, getting carried away now, sorry.

Love the alpha charms. By the looks of the lovely background paper I bet the last room is a atrium or greenhouse. I know you closed the guessing so this isn’t an official guess. KWIM? Just rattling on here. LOL Besides I have to still stick with my old guess. HaHa
Can’t wait to see it though.
Gosh, it must be frustrating to be in such a beautiful vacation environment and not be able to go loll on the beach and walk in the surf. Instead you have to work. Yuck.
Hope you get a few moments to do those things before you have to come back to the normal world.

The charms are great! I just unzipped them though, and the h is an i, and the j is a v. So we have two h and v’s, and no i, and j. Just thought I’d let you know!
