This is such a long post that I bet its going to take quite a while for you to finish reading it. That’s the bad part. LOL. The good part is you are going to get one heck of a freebie set for free — 90MB heavy. Youre going to get the first part in two download links IF you read through everything! LOL! Thanks for bearing with me. I can assure you that its going to be a good read with lots of great pages to share!
Lazy Daisies is a huge pack. Over 90MB. Its not because of the number of files you’ll get from the set. It has less than ten sheets and a couple of elements. Its huge because every item in the kit is detailed. VERY detailed. I enjoyed doing every detail and I hope you would take the time to zoom in on every piece and see everything the way I made it. I’m giving it for free.
Lazy Daisies is a BOOSTER PACK to my Crossroads line. The special sale of Crossroads ends this month after which it will be for sale at regular pricing.
MG2: JOY PAGES

I learned a lot from these lines that were shared. I hope you will click here and read the wonderful comments/posts that begins with “When I am at crossroads…”
More Awards
Tammy had just given me back the Brillante Weblog Award and I got another from Jeanie plus another award called “I Love Your Blog!” LOL! It’s raining awards! (Shhh… go visit both blogs! They have great freebies up for grabs!)
Rules for those who get both “awards”:
- The winner can put the logo on her blog (right-click the image and save to your drive for uploading to your blog).
- Link the person you received your award from.
- Nominate at least 3 other blogs.
- Put links of those blogs on yours.
- Leave a message on the blogs of the girls you’ve nominated.
For the Brillante Weblog Award, I’m passing the award to Carola, Tonya and Indy – warm, wonderful women with great blogs that share their art to the rest of the world! These women have been with me for months lovingly encouraging me to just keep at it. Their friendship means much to me… their support – precious.
For the I Love Your Blog Award, I’m passing in on to Denise and Vicki — both not only share their stories of strength, hope and courage but also their pride and joy of family. Both do their very own freebies too! I doubt if blogging would be this fun for me if it were not for Denise and Vicki who both cheer me up by popping in and out of my comments box with witty, warm and funny things to share. I would have included Rarole is she had a blog! .
To the women I mentioned above (majority of whom all offer great freebies,)
Server Woes
I’ve been having server problems. Twice this week I went online to see that my servers are down. The funny thing is I host several domains and the only ones that are down are the two sites I have on scrapbooking — one traditional and the other digital (this one). These two sites are the ones that are “personal” to me. They are mine, not a clients’.
So bear with me… I take my server problems a lot harder than anyone. I’d rather you just head over to mydigistyle.blogspot.com EVERY TIME you have trouble accessing this site for more than 8 hours. This way I have one less “worry” off my mind… I get troubled with the thought that you might be wondering no end what’s wrong with this site.
Sidenote
I am supposed to release a pack called “Patchwork” set instead of Lazy Daisies. You’d have to wait for that next set though. At the very least that means you can look forward to at least TWO! Don’t you just love surprises?!
I love you Dad!
PS: It’s my dad’s 71st birthday yesterday. Could I ask you for a favor? Could you please whisper a prayer for my family that my dad will continue to remain healthy for a loooonnnggg time? Thanks! To those who have posted comments, emailed me and simply clicked my hug button several times, thank you so much! I hope you have a great week ahead!
Sprouts closeup! Gorgeous texturing! I enjoyed doing this!

Hi Mabelle,’
It’s a privilege to be the “first” one today to drop you a greeting. I appreciate your faithfullness to always bring us a word of wisdom, encouragment, or just thought provoking thoughts. Thank you for your shares today – both for scrapbooking our memories and your words about life! Blessings for a beautiful day! I will commit to praying for your dad – let us know how the birthday went and what he did to celebrate.

WoW! Mabelle is back up and moving! Working hard. Lazy Daisies is an oxymoron coming from Ms. Mabelle! Nothing lazy about these daisies! Just Awesome! Thank you, Ma’am!
I posted a Joy LO today. I made it while on vacation, but could not get it uploaded because of the server issues, then (blush) i forgoddaboudit! But my memory has been refreshed and it’s now up. Unfortunately, reducing it down to 400×400 caused it to lose it’s clarity, and i’m not quite ready to tackle my blog yet, so i’m posting the journaling here:
In the center, “Leannie, whose name you will find on the inner circle, is sister of my blood. She has been a joy to me, lifelong. She sent me, today, the “Sisters” post that has been going around on email and on blogs for the past month. I had not seen it before, and it sounded a major chord of “Joy” for me. Thanks Leannie, and all my sisters.”
“Cindy Kristin Kathy Fran Laurie Jean aime Jeanne Cindy Jannie Sue Frances Savannah Lonieta Rosemary Sally Nia Nicole Kathleen eileen quiana Leannie Patty Pat” are the names inscribed on the sheet and this doesn’t even include my many sisters from the scrapping community, but there will be more SisterJoy to come!
The piece of the quote that i put on the LO says ” When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley’s rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley’s end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you…Or come in and carry you out…”
I could not find the originator of the saying. If any of you know it, i’d be so happy to have that information.
I HAD to use “Sprouts” for this layout. Just look at the sisters hanging out in the left–all big butt, long neck, hair done with arms that just look ready to hold somebody. Even a “baby sister”! Soooo Kewl!
Thanks for looking y’all!
OH MY! AN AWARD! That calls for something special! First a big THANK YOU, Mabelle, for loving my blog! I don’t spend as much time there as i should, but it is the place where i CAN talk and know that at least one person–ME, LOL!–is hearing what i have to say. I’m so glad you visit, and again, thank you for the award. I’m gonna think about who to give it to before i post it!

Oh my gosh, those details. Wonderful! Thank you so much!
And your blog headers is awesome, I really like it!
July 31, 2008 7:07 am
Mabelle, These Lazy Daisies is just the tops, love the detail and can appreciate the time spent in making them. Happy birthday to your Dad….today would have been my Dad’s 89th birthday…..he passed away 18 months ago.
July 31, 2008 7:08 am
Hello Sweetheart!
Remember who you are talking with here! Smaller things than this have really gotten to you before. Such a perfectionist!!
This kind of thing can and will eat you up – but try and relax. You have such a faithful following, no one is going anywhere. We will be here whenever you are!
Oh my! You made me blush! What a sweet thing to say and (almost) do! LOL My goodness, if I had a blog it would be the end of me. I just know I would not be able to keep it up. Every post would start with: Gee I am sorry I haven’t posted in a LONG while. LOL. Your site is quite enough. The posts get longer and longer. And I think that the more relaxed and at peace you are the longer they get! (don’t count the server troubles). This newest addition to crossroads is amazing. I have been clicking on all of the previews and am just agog. The texture in the papers – the felty flowers. Wow! And then you give them for free! Girl, you are one amazing lady. I sure hope the gremlins in your server problem go away soon. And I can only imagine how you internalize all of this trouble.
All the best to your Dad! Thank him for his great part in making you who you are!
Thanks again for the wonderful, wonderful work. {{Hugs}} until next time, Rarole
July 31, 2008 11:09 am
THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN, and this is another absolutely georgeous creation. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!!
July 31, 2008 11:49 am
Thanks for the beautiful Lazy Daisies. What a joy to behold. You do such amazing work, everything is lovely. Sending prayers your way for your Dad and for yourself.
July 31, 2008 12:36 pm
Thank you so much for all your hard work on theses beautiful kits, pages and freebies. The colors are gorgeous!
July 31, 2008 12:37 pm
Woo Hoo! Thank you so much for Lazy Daisies and your thoughts about no two things being the same. Wouldn’t the world be boring if we were all alike? Liked the same colors, the same styles, the same food, etc.? God indeed made us all unique, and that is a comforting thought in itself. Thanks again for the kit and for your shared thoughts.
July 31, 2008 12:56 pm
Thanks so much for Lazy Daisies; it’s wonderful! Crossroads is such a gorgeous kit and I love all the additions to it!
Isn’t it so frustrating when we have a problem with our computers! I’m glad you’re back up and running! We can’t go too long without hearing from you,
PS: By the way I clicked on your hugs many times!
(((hugs)))

July 31, 2008 2:54 pm
Hey, darling girl… I am absent more than present these days. I am shamefaced at not keeping my word when I said I would do something
so I hide.
You are so genuinely good, that it is an honor to know you, and I AM blessed to be considered one of your friends, even though this year has found me MIA more often than not. I’ve been sick/am sick again, and another round of heavy antibiotics to try to knock this down enough to get me ready for surgery later in August.
Even my work has been “sick”, and I have not accomplished most of what I wanted to. God has something new planned for me, as well, but I am not as confident as you about it… I just try to be calm.
Thank you for the gifts, both of the scrapping variety, and the more important one, of sharing yourself with us.
Love you bunches, though I’m sure you are hard pressed to believe it! — Elaine
July 31, 2008 2:55 pm
Oh, yeah… I was so impressed with what you had to say about WordPress, and I’ve been so NOT impressed with Blogger, that I am in the process of changing my blog over, and then at some point, I will try to post more!
July 31, 2008 7:28 pm
Love Lazy Daisies!
July 31, 2008 7:42 pm
thank you so much!
:hugs:
July 31, 2008 7:49 pm
Mabelle, you amaze me – you are so talented and what you write about seems to be where I am – I think it’s true, God puts people in your path when you need them most. Thanks so much!
July 31, 2008 7:50 pm
Thank you so much for this “kinda” Crossroads addon. I purchased the kit and LOVE it!! This will make an already wonderful kit even nicer. To all reading this…you must buy at least one of Maybelle’s kits…she is AWESOME!!! Thanks for that little award you gave me a while back. I have been so busy with life lately (important!!) that I fell a little behind in giving luv to those who are special in my digi-world circle. Stay sweet and keep making these beautiful designs!!
July 31, 2008 8:09 pm
Thanks so much for Lazy Daisies. It is a lovely complement to Crossroads. Happy Birthday to your dad, and many many good wishes for his continued health, happiness, and love.
July 31, 2008 8:34 pm
The details truly do look marvelous, Mabelle. That is something that is so lacking in our country as a whole these days – attention to detail and true workmanship, so that one can truly take pride in what they have made. So glad to see it hasn’t died out altogether!
Thank you for sharing your work with us, as well as for the reminder to celebrate our differences rather than trying to turn one another into clones of ourselves!
July 31, 2008 8:38 pm
Happy birthday to your dad. To me, he’s just a ‘youngster’- myself being so very much older than he. And of course I say a prayer for you and your family that he will continue to remain healthy for a loooong time, as I say one for my loving spouse who is 6 years older than me. I so enjoy your glorious designs. Many, many stars in your crown for sharing them with all of us.
July 31, 2008 11:40 pm
Thanks so much for “Lazy Daises”! It looks great, and I love all the beautiful texture in it! Thanks again for sharing!
July 31, 2008 11:56 pm
What a delight to see your wonderful letter and lovely creations this morning
Thank you so much, and wishes for the happiest birthday to your dad!
August 1, 2008 12:15 am
Hi, I just found your site this am and I must say I am so excited to have found you! Your work is truly unique and beautiful! The detail is extraordinary! I am excited too, because I think I might actually upload a layout to your site! LOL! I know there are so many sites where you can do that, but your work actually “inspires” me to do so!
While “I” just found your site, thank you for all you do for digi-scrappers! I hope you won’t mind a few “hugs” from, not a “stranger”, but hopefully a new “cyber-friend.”
Best Wishes!
August 1, 2008 2:16 am
Awesome set! Thank you so much. A Happy Birthday to your dad. Dad’s are so precious, especially for daughters. I’ll be praying that your dad continues in good health!
August 1, 2008 3:44 am
Well, what can I say!!!!!
An award from Mabelle herself!!!!
Cannot thank you enough for thinking of little me and my poor blog….
Have been neglecting my blog for so long and never even finished my first freebie I am trying to “create”….LOL
But some day I will do it and now I just want to say THANK YOU MABELLE for everything you do; both your design and your friendship and your time.
Hugs
Carola

Good Morning Mabelle, As usual I spend a few minutes not only reading your kind and inspiring words but I also read the comments left by your wonderful friends here. Cruisengoddess has been reading my mind. I have so been in need lately and her statement ‘God puts people in your path when you need them most’ was so real and true. I have so much more to say but the words will not come today. Happy B’day to your father and he will be added to my prayers.
Thank you for ‘Lazy Daisies’, what a perfect addition. I also want to thank you for the add on links you sent in addition to the kit. XOXOX
August 1, 2008 4:55 am

Thank you so much for Sprouts. I myself am on the lower part of the 5 foot scale. I always say 5 foot 2 and eyes of blue. Keep up the great work. Love the freebie.
August 1, 2008 6:37 am
Mabelle, I haven’t opened my mail for 2 days and what a surprise I had in store for me after reading your blog, I actually could not believe it was me you mentioned and had to click on the link to make sure, hahaha! I am so honored and of course your nomination brought tears to my eyes (me being the crybaby that I am!) – thank you! I had no idea you were keeping track of my blog (me with a sheepish grin)…but of course, why should I doubt, you are the kid of person who keeps track, even when you are swamped by so many other things..thank you so much and I appreciate your vote of confidence, It came at a time when I badly needed one…and by the way, the title of your kit Crossroads – feels so apt for me as I am at a Crossroad. Wish we could spend a few hours together one of these days, gosh, its a miracle if we can find the time…what between all your work and commitments and my work, homeschooling my kids and planning to put up a tiny tiny neighborhood cafe…but in due time, I’m sure we will finally meet each other in this small town of ours…you take care and God bless!
August 1, 2008 7:51 am
Awwwww…thanks for the Brillante Weblog award…I better get busy.
I have my two daisies here at home and they are both very differnet from each other. I have to remind myself constantly not to compare them to each other, but to appreciate and enjoy there very differnet attributes.
Love the whole Crossroads kit!!

Happy Belated Birthday Mabelle’s dad. I look forward to hearing about many more years of birthdays to come.
I am so sorry to hear about your server woes. That can be so depressing, especially when it is only affecting those close to your heart.
And congratulations on your awards. They are well deserved. You have truly been an inspiration to many.
Lazy Daisies is a beautiful kit and I can’t wait to collect them all. Thank you.
Before I forget, I love what you have done with your blog this time around. It is so cheerful and lovely.

I love my Crossroads kit! I see something new every time I look at it. The texture on the daisies is so great! I almost want to touch the screen. I thought better of it though, because I was eating popcorn, and that would be a nasty smudge on my new monitor! LOL The detail is truly amazing. Thank you so much!
