When I started posting about digital scrapbooking in my traditional scrapbooking site (meaning working with actual paper), I received several emails asking me if I’m finally going “digital.” My answer was “Yes, I am but…” because I’m definitely too far gone to leave traditional scrapping behind. I am just stretching my wings a bit and finally giving in to the fact that digital scrapbooking is fun (considering my unfounded bias as a graphic designer that it will feel just like “work.”)
It doesn’t. It felt just as fun as traditional scrapbooking too. Emotional rewarding? Yes… and definitely easier for me since I won’t be waging war against the physical limitations of paper. (I tear it, distress it, scratch it, rub it, ink it… torture it no end!)
Having this blog will finally draw the line (no matter how thin) between blogging about anything traditional and raving about new digital links, downloads and stuff. Some “trad” scrappers don’t like spending their precious internet time reading about digital scrapbooking and the “digi-scrappers” are not that interested to know about the latest paper lines I’ve gone crazy over. So there. I’ve set up this blog just to make sure everyone gets what one wants.
So welcome to mydigiscraps where I will try to post everything I can about digital scrapbooking and yup, where I intend to launch my very own, personally designed digital scrapbooking kits. I tried experimenting. Below you will see a layout made mostly with my “stuff” except for the tag by Nicole Kalteneker and the Old School Alphas by Misty Cato

Digital scrapbooking files in the standard format of 12 inches by 12 inches (for digital papers) in 300dpi, are huge files. That said, all my files will be uploaded and linked to free web servers, wherever I can find them. The catch? The links will be time limited. Some links would expire after several downloads… some after several days. I suggest you download the files right away as you see them posted as I don’t plan on re-uploading anything once they have expired.
Better yet… sign up for an email subscription to this blog. You will always get an email each time I have a new blog post! Fast, easy and private!
To celebrate my first post, here’s my first kit. I named it Goodbye to Summer. I love summer and I’m always sad to see it end. This “Summer Kit” contains 4 papers (two distressed solids, one watermarked and one “embroidered”) one photo frame with twill, one photo frame with lace, one dark button and one light button, 1 paper label and a red flower – no drop shadows!

The fact that there were 200 downloads (and counting…
), it simply means they find your digikit beautiful (else they won’t bother to download it). I’m sure they secretly
thank you for your wondrous work of (he)art
. So, don’t mind how many feedback you get.
