The Art of Awesomeness

The Art of Awesomeness begins and ends with thankfulness. I do not believe anyone can be “awesome” without thinking about all the people who have taught someone how to give. Someone had to teach you that giving is as much fun if not a lot better than receiving. The natural inclination people have is to take and run (sound familiar? LOL!). Someone has to show you that giving joy to others is in itself one big reward. By thinking about the people or even the circumstances that made you realize that giving is such an awesome trait, you won’t be able to help yourself but think about the people who taught you how to think that way.

The freebie for this post is made possible by Coco and the Art of Awesomeness he patiently tried to teach me for thirteen years. Coco is the key to the freebie and to my heart. :-) The hardest thing for me to do lately is to remember Coco and not to cry.

The 5Tweets Gallery is so beautiful – full of memories from ladies who so willingly share. Thank you so much for taking the time to do and share your pages and the memories that go in each of them. Expect the password via email to the fourth sampler below. The link is here. To download the Awesome Tag freebie, click here.

One more Scrapping Challenge to go and we are done =). I will be posting the challenge before the weekend. Hubby and I are off to Bangkok to celebrate our 11th year together – one more thing to be thankful for. (wink!)

So sorry for the delay ladies. June was quite a killer. T’was good I survived. Now, if you want me to feel good because you have so much joy in your heart to share, a simple “thank you” would be it. :-)

11 years …. congratulations! And loved your story about giving…….makes me think about my Nana (may she rest in peace).

I haven’t said anything before, but I can definitely relate to how you still mourn the loss of Coco… We lost our cherished pet, Mocha, the week before Christmas. He was a beautiful blue-point Siamese who we had for 14 years. I was his “person,” and he followed me around everywhere – desiring to sleep at my feet if I was at my desk, between my legs if I had my legs up on the ottoman or to recline on my lap. We had gotten him a few weeks before I discovered I was pregnant with my first child, and his favorite spot was to sit on my ever-burgeoning belly & prr… How I loved his prr’ing. He had such a big heart – literally & figuratively (we discovered his heart was enlarged, a few months before he passed away, when we took him to the vet because he had started urinating in weird places and wanted to figure out why – thought maybe he had a urinary tract infection). He was a very special cat, and I don’t think any pet will ever replace him in my heart…

Before I forget my manners, thank you very much for your latest “gift.” I can’t wait to see it. And Seth’s page from sampler #3 will be coming along soon, I hope – we need to fix the power supply to our laptop first so that he can create it. (I don’t allow him on my pc because he’s put spyware, viruses & trojans on it in the past)

Have a great weekend in Bangkok!

well, I’m late again but did finish and send you my 3rd page! Love the page you did about Coco (and got the password this time!) Sitting here listening to fireworks and my 70 pound Rottweiler/Shepherd is about to crawl up on my lap- She hates the booms! (And the neighbors have been setting them off all daylong!) Have a great week!

Donna, I can just imagine your Rottweiller looking so worried about the booms ;-) My “babies” also react the same way but since they are all small dogs, they hide under the bed or the sofa or anywhere they can fit their little bodies into. LOL! Looking forward to your last page! ;-) Everything is just so pretty!
