I’ve often been asked why I don’t just offer the download link without further ado. Or why do I sometimes make use of passwords, or offer links exclusively to a few? My explanation is quite simple: mydigistyle is not a freebie downloading site. It is a BLOG and a community. In exchange for the freebie kits I painstakingly design that takes me several days to finish and sometimes cost me a sizable amount of dollars (I buy software, plugins, images, etc. to create fresh designs), I ask for comments, a bit of sharing or stories. This is all I ask. This means of course that you would have to read my post in order to comment on them. Tucked inside one of the paragraphs of my blog post is the password to the downloadable file.

I painstakingly create my “kits” in great detail. Every design I make, I do with love – for tucked in every piece is my memory and my story. I do not believe in creating “stuff” for the sake of being able to issue “freebies” on a regular basis. I’d rather issue something few and far between but looking truly special than issue something regularly looking no better than the hundreds of freebies issued on the net. If you’re looking for mere “downloadables,” this is not the site for you.

There are also times when I offer something “exclusive” to be given only to those who do a particular “task.” The download link is still published but the password is emailed only to those who have participated in a given “request.”

My download links expire after several days. I do not keep them up forever. It is important that you download my freebies right away. I do sometimes revive the links for special occasions or when I am selling the kits. Thank you for giving me a chance to clarify what this blog is all about. Those who have been with me for the last several years know this.
